Założenia (opisowo): | Student should achieve the knowledge of investigation methods of the environment, and of sampling methods of environmental samples, their preparation for analytical research. Student should also learn specific conditions of trace analysis laboratory and the critical approach to analytical results. |
Skrócony opis: |
To be aware on the requirements in sampling of environmental materials according to the standards. To be skilful to designed the analytical scheme of the environmental samples monitoring; to select appropriate chemical measurements procedure (fit-for purpose) according to validation data; to be skilful to evaluate the analytical results and compare with respective norms. |
Pełny opis: |
On-field sampling of soil and water. Samples preparation: drying, sieving, extraction of various chemical forms, total digestion, dilution. Selection of the proper analytical procedure according to the sample type and expected concentration of analyte. Evaluation of the uncertainty for the results and comparison of the results. Determination of various ion by ion-chromatography to determine macro-cations; determination of pH of the environmental samples; determination of Fe by UV-Vis spectrometry; determination of Fe & Mn by flame AAS and UV-Vis spectrophotometry; determination of pesticides in soil; digestion of natural samples; fractionation study. Evaluation of the quality of analytical results (chemometrics). |
