Skrócony opis: |
(tylko po angielsku) Student seminar presenting selected recent topics and methods in modern physics by students supported by faculty members. |
Pełny opis: |
(tylko po angielsku) Modern physics has a vast and dynamic landscape. Young prospective scientists often struggle to find an area of physics that is both engaging for them and of high interest to the international community. This seminar is dedicated to students who find themselves in that position. We will prepare 7 topics that we consider ‘hot’, each from a slightly different area - from AMO physics to cosmology. Most topics will be covered for two meetings, with a general discussion at the first one (in the form of seminar prepared by a student or group of students) and an in-depth study of a specific result and methods at the second one - with the intent to give a taste of the research experience in the field. All seminars and tutorials will be prepared by students with the guidance of scientists from the department if needed. |
