| Skrócony opis: |
(tylko po angielsku) This course is addressed to students writing their Master Thesis during second cycle programme (S2-FZ and S2-PRK-FZ) in the specialization (field) Physics - Mathematical and Computer Modeling of Computer Processes. The course have character of individual studies and the tasks can be realized in any time and place, according to student’s wishes. The main aim of the course is to help students in their efforts of preparing material for their Master Thesis. The Master Thesis can deal with any topic connected to all fields of physics in which active research is carried on in all scientific groups of the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. Also every scientists who has suitable credentials of the University can supervise such Master Thesis. The only condition is that the main tool for preparation of the Master Thesis has to be a computer and the Thesis should present the results of performed modeling and/or computations. |
| Pełny opis: |
(tylko po angielsku) All activities within the course should be done under supervision of the Master Thesis advisor, and he defines student’s tasks to be realized within the courses. The students wanting to take part in this course should do the following: (1) determine in which field of physics they would like to write their Master Thesis; (2) find suitable for the chosen field Master Thesis Advisor; (3) enroll in the USOS system for the course; (4) realize the tasks determined by the Advisor; (5) ask the Advisor to assess the performed work and send the note to the courses coordinator. |
| Efekty uczenia się: |
(tylko po angielsku) During the workshop, students should learn numerical methods that help them to prepare their Master Thesis and perform some introductory modeling or computations. |
| Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
(tylko po angielsku) Strong cooperation between student and Thesis Advisor during this course is assumed. The Thesis Advisor also assess the job done by his/her student, gives the note, and sends the note to the coordinator of the courses who in turn is responsible for placing the notes in the USOS system. |
